GENERAL CLASS INFORMATION AND POLICIES

Thank you for your interest in our classes! We are happy to be able to offer classes and workshops to our customers, and we hope that you will take the opportunity to learn new skills. In order to make the class experience mutually enjoyable, we ask that you review our class policies as detailed below.

Classes generally consist of one to three sessions, and fees are based on the total number of hours. In addition, we provide private lessons at $25 per hour or $15 for a half-hour lesson. The cost of materials for a class project is not included in the class fees unless otherwise indicated in the class description. Students will receive a 15% discount on yarns, fibers, or kits purchased for a class (discount does not apply to notions or other items). In order to encourage kids to learn about the fiber arts, we offer class discounts based on age as follows:
Seven years old or under: free
Eight through 12 years old: half price
13 years old and over: full price

Class size is typically limited to six students so that the instructor can give adequate attention to each student; however, the instructor may choose to admit more (or fewer) students. A class may be cancelled if not enough students sign up.

Class fees are due at the time of sign-up and are non-refundable unless the student notifies the instructor, at least 24 hours prior to the start of the class, that she will not be able to attend.

Students are expected to attend the class sessions when they are scheduled. Failure to show up for a class session does not entitle the student to a make-up class. Missed classes may be made up at the discretion of the instructor; however, additional fees may be incurred.

A class session may be rescheduled by the instructor due to illness or inclement weather. In such cases, we will attempt to notify each student as soon as possible. If a class must be cancelled in its entirety, fees will be refunded. Since a certain amount of advance preparation is required on the part of the instructor, a class will be cancelled if there are no students signed up at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time.

By signing up for a class, a student consents to the policies set forth above.

Finally, our goal at Grand Loop Yarns & Fibers is to offer a variety of classes – to have something for everyone – and to involve the community in this process as well. If you are interested in teaching a class or workshop, please let us know!
